The Secret Sister by Ayla Hashway

The Secret Sister by Ayla Hashway.

When twelve-year-old Olivia Lockhart discovers her mother’s been keeping a huge family secret, she becomes determined to find out exactly what her mom is hiding.

But strange characters keep crossing Olivia’s path, leading her to a mysterious waterfall on an exotic island.

It will take all of Olivia’s inventing know-how to escape the evil plan she’s unwillingly become a part of.

 About Ayla

Ayla Hashway is nine years old. She loves reading and writing. The Secret Sister is her first book, although she’s been writing for years. She believes if you keep trying, you can make your dreams come true.

I loved the interaction between Olivia and her brother Max as she uncovers her mother’s family secret. The Secret Sister truly is a page turner, and Nine year old Ayla has done a fantastic job with the characters. I can’t wait to see what happens next if Ayla decides to write book two. I think Olivia is already planning.

With her knowledge of story and the writing craft at age nine, Ayla Hashway is one new author to keep an eye on.

  1. Thank you for posting this. I'm glad you liked the book.

    1. I really enjoyed The Secret Sister. I wonder what Olivia and Max will do when Aunt Amanda shows up again.

Abura sounds wonderful. Especially the waterfall. And I think Olivia has great taste when it comes to her choices in books to read. (That was fun :) )

  2. Ayla was so cute when she asked me if she could mention Blues Bones. She still talks about it even though she read it months ago. You definitely made an impact on her. :)

  3. I am working on book two and i even have a blog and i posted about the next book!

    1. Congrats on your blog and the other books you are working on. Can't wait to read more of your books.
